Our People
Over the past ten years OES have developed a tight knit team of professionals with complementary skillsets all working to ensure we deliver the best service for our clients.

Peadar O’Loughlin
Managing Director
Peadar’s defining characteristic is his calm persona. His unflustered approach to running the business gets the best results out of the rest of us.
Peadar has over 17 years of consultancy experience. After having graduated from University College Galway with a BSc, he worked in industry in Germany for a number of years before returning to the School of Ocean Sciences at UCNW, where he obtained and MSc in Marine Environmental Protection.
He cut his teeth on environmental projects with EMA Ltd. After a short stint with the Aquaculture Section of BIM, where he set up an Environmental Section, he returned to the cut and thrust of consultancy with MOR Consulting Engineers in Dublin.
During his period with MOR, he developed the fledgling environmental services part of that company into a subsidiary company in its own right and worked on a range of high profile engineering projects for Masonite, Louisiana Pacific and Avonmore (now Glanbia) on the Planning and Environmental side of things. In addition, Peadar managed the environmental impact assessment process on a range of infrastructural projects including Millennium Park in Naas and a number of dredging projects for Waterford and New Ross Ports.
Peadar founded OES with Brona in 1999 and has worked systematically to develop the profile of OES as a leading provider of technical consultancy services, which are delivered by a highly professional and motivated team of consultants.
Peadar is a people person and has built up strong relationship with many of our Clients - he is renowned for his ability to identify innovative solutions for the client, frequently before they have even asked for them. Clients like having Peadar in their court and they hang on to him.
The steady hand on the helm of OES, Peadar is never fazed by a problem no matter how big. A skill which comes in useful for his passion in life – sailing. He recently sailed across the Atlantic with 2 friends on a 50ft boat, all of whom are surprisingly still close friends. Not only did they make the crossing successfully but they rescued 3 sailors from the Scilly Isles while their boat was sinking in mid Atlantic – all in a day’s work!
Brona Tennyson
Director
Brona is one of the most determined Consultants you can find and a Master of the “tough question”, a trait which our Clients value – they want Brona on their side when it comes to dealing with difficult issues.
A Graduate of the University of Ulster, Trinity College Dublin and NUI Cork, Brona has 17 years experience in Consulting. Brona worked in the field with some of the first Irish environmental consultancies DuQuesne and EMA Ltd, where she was involved in implementing environmental management systems with Diageo and Waterford Foods (now Glanbia).
Brona came to the attention of Project Management Group, who hired her to work on high profile projects out of Dublin and Cork including Roche Ireland, Pfizer, Smurfit’s, Bausch and Lomb and Xerox. These projects included significant infrastructural and industrial developments in Ireland, where Brona was responsible for managing the Planning and Environmental Impact Assessment processes.
She has extensive experience of safety management systems and energy management systems, having implemented systems for companies such as Wyeth Nutritionals, Astellas Ireland, and Lee Strand.
In addition to having worked in Ireland, she has undertaken corporate due diligence work in the UK, Italy and Scandinavia, and has given lectures and seminars on aspects of Environmental Management and Industrial Licensing, both at home and abroad.
Brona established OES Consulting with Peadar and has developed a successful service in providing outsourced environmental and safety services for OES industrial clients.
Brona is a problem solver and is incredibly quick to get to grips with the issues surrounding a project – she is equally quick to find the solution that works to ensure that the Project gets done. As a result, she keeps on getting asked back.
